Even with nine players on the disabled list, the Toronto Blue Jays gave three-year contract extensions to two trainers and a strength and conditioning coach on Wednesday.
Head trainer George Poulis, assistant trainer Dave Abraham and strength and conditioning coach Donovan Santas all got extensions. All three are under contract through the 2010 season.
Toronto currently has nine players, seven pitchers, on the disabled list. In all, 10 Blue Jays have spent time on the DL this season, costing Toronto 237 games in missed time.
