Man, ESPN is going to be pissed.
Roger Clemens was scratched from Monday’s start against the Chicago White Sox because of slight groin pain.
Clemens first experienced the pain during his last minor league outing for Triple-A Scranton on May 28. Rather than risk additional injury, he decided to take a cautious approach.
The decision was first reported by The New York Times on its Web site on Saturday and confirmed to The Associated Press by a person familiar with the situation who spoke on condition of anonymity because the Yankees hadn’t made an announcement.
Manager Joe Torre, speaking before Saturday’s game against the Boston Red Sox, said Clemens was still in Houston. “As of right now, he’s still scheduled,” Torre said.

the A-Rod stuff cools down so that Roger can maximize his media coveragehe feels 100%.That didn't keep A-Rod out of the lineup in Toronto now, did it?
It will be a lot of fun watching Clemens get his head handed to him by every team except the Red Sox, when he miraculously morphs into the 1997 version of himself for just those games, then enjoy the fallout in the yankees org and the deity-cursing in the Red Sox Nation.

Its not an injury, just plain old fatigue. The New York Press and ESPN will do that to a fella...
