A hydrochloric acid leak caused Wednesday’s night’s game between the Omaha Royals and Oklahoma Redhawks to be suspended when the stadium was evacuated.
Homes and businesses in the area around Rosenblatt Stadium, including the zoo, were evacuated when a rail car was reported leaking at a nearby yard. The Pacific Coast League game will be picked up where it left off, after the fourth inning, before Thursday’s game.
Being minor league baseball, this is likely to spawn some future wacky promotion.
