They lose, Teixeira goes 2 for 5 with a 3 run homer, and Will Ohman pitches a scoreless inning.
We finally hit Hamels around and we find a way to blow it away.
Jose Rijo had 260 starts from 1984-95, then missed five full seasons before returning in 2001, and picking up his last nine starts in '02.
My thoughts exactly.
(Not that I want to take the spotlight away from Dave Stieb whenever it should find him!)
After looking it up, I realize that this isn't nearly as impressive as it sounds. That's what happens when you get your hopes up.
