I generally make a habit of assuming the worst of the Mets (it's worked out pretty well so far), but even I doubt that. They won't want to get their competition bristled over something so petty.

Sure, the ban only applies to the unwashed.
BTW - I work for a cigar retailer and wholesaler and customers are allowed to smoke in the store as well.
