Brewers, Harley team up at Miller Park

“They rode with a fine unwashed arrogance, secure in their reputation as the rottenest motorcycle gang in the whole history of Christendom.”

The Milwaukee Brewers and Harley-Davidson are combining baseball and horsepower next year as part of what the franchise is calling one of the most comprehensive sponsorship deals in its history.

The team and Harley announced Tuesday a multiyear sponsorship deal that calls for construction of a Harley-Davidson deck in the left-center field area of Miller Park. The Harley-Davidson Deck, as it will be known, will be elevated, will seat 42 fans and will feature Harley motorcycles built into the décor. The deck should be ready in time for the 2009 season.

In addition, admission to the deck will be via a new entrance to the stadium and will be called “Gate H-D.” The entrance will be not only for fans who have a ticket to the deck, but also for any Hog Owners Group, or H.O.G., member who shows a game ticket and membership card. Fans using the deck will be able to park in an exclusive, motorcycle-only parking lot, with the price of parking included in the admission ticket.
