BBTF Guestmap

Thanks to Craig in MN, we can locate one another.  Feel free to add a generic location - no need to put your actual address in there - but the city can help us get together better.  For instance, for me, I put in my BTF name, my city and a link to my BTF wiki page.  I can already feel the love.

Assuming everyone is mature, the password to edit the site is bselig I believe. So, you can take off messed up entries.

How do we delete markers if we miss?

Log in, using the account "btf". The password is listed a couple of entries up.

But if that's too hard, it's the most common password used around these parts - bselig.

I'm nearly the farthest North, that's gotta be worth something.

P.S. I missed with the first marker.

I did, but I didn't think he wanted a permanent record of it anywhere - he freaked out about it in the Lounge a few months ago.

God bless New Rochelle, NY.

   44. Craig in MN Posted: August 27, 2005 at 04:08 PM (#1578025)
Suggestions

1. ZOOM IN before placing your icon.

2. Be patient....don't press the 'Place' button twice.

3. Don't 'Reload' (resend POSTDATA) the map immediately after you place your icon.

Reloading or pressing 'Place' twice will work like a double-post, so there will be two of you on the map.

Personally, I don't mind the some fictional posts, but I think the dozen fake-wads go a bit too far.
   45. Spivey Posted: August 27, 2005 at 04:18 PM (#1578035)

I'd like the guestmap to be utilitarian. If you want to make an ass of yorself, start your own asshat map.

Here is a map that you can put fake names on.

Aren't most of the names on the first map going to be fake anyway?

The Admiral Ackbar one in Nevada should stay. After all, he's been a Primate longer than most.

The alien head marker was a nice touch.

Is that in Area 51? If so, kudos to the author.
   53. Never eat the calamari at a bris Posted: August 27, 2005 at 04:41 PM (#1578090)
For the record, I was the "asshat" doing the "Meatwad" posts.

I've taken them down (they weren't meant to be permanent, I just started doing them once I learned that they could be taken down again). I was just killing some time before the Jays get their heads handed to them again.

The fake map has some possibilites ;-).

Best Regards

Nope, I just live near there. Near the U, too. All the faculty/staff that live near there keep the neighborhood quality up, which is nice. The spot I picked is actually a dog park that I take my dog to sometimes.

Mrs in MN was born in Riverside Hospital, too. She thinks she's going to die there too. Or at least that's what she tells me whenever she has to go there for any medical reason.
