BBTF Guestmap

Thanks to Craig in MN, we can locate one another.  Feel free to add a generic location - no need to put your actual address in there - but the city can help us get together better.  For instance, for me, I put in my BTF name, my city and a link to my BTF wiki page.  I can already feel the love.

I just checked, It's still working for me.

I'm using Firefox. I don't know what the problem could be.

I think the guestmap site is just overwhelmed by the mass of primates.

Sounds like Gibraltar.

mass of primates

There may be a lot of Red Sox fans, but I think only a few of us live in the Commonwealth.

Vinay: Don't worry, I'll warn the people living a few miles away from me.

Most Favored Haitian Status: Well, make sure the people three or four miles south of me don't piss you off.

You guys are missing the point. If I can get that close just snap shooting, imagine what I could do aiming with an advanced targeting map and zoom! I could fry you while you were on the pot and not even singe the rim...

Not a whole lot of neighbors for me, either.

It looks like over 300 primates have marked their territory. Keep 'em coming.

I'm amazed by the total lack of BTFers in the upper midwest/northern Rockies. NE, SD, ND, MT, WY, ID, and UT have no Primates? And I think there's only 2 legit/current each in MN and IA.

I know it is largely rural and not exactly a baseball hotbed, but still that seems like a remarkable void.

I wish there was a way to search by name on this thing. It might be stalkerish, but when someone says "I added myself" and you're curious where they are, you still have to just click on icons until you find them.

And who is Danny, who lives 3 blocks from me?

And who are these Backlasher and kevin folks, too?

This map just makes it more depressing that I love on the West Coast. I mean, the weather's nice (sometimes), but look at all thsoe baseball fans... Oh, for the day when I won't have to explain the rules of baseball during each and every broadcast...

Coincidence number two, I'm on the pot right now.

I sat there for ten minutes trying to place a marker , then I changed computers, took 15 seconds on this one.

Apparently my coworkers comp is a piece of ####.

Oh yeah, neil traven? Your marker is nowhere near fremont, but shoot me an email sometime.

Sweet, I was just going to suggest that the map have a link next to the wiki, but it has already been done!

IIRC. there are still parts of the country where dial-up is the only viable option, but I could be wrong.

I get lumped in with them? Great...

Anyone want to put the effort in to delete latnam's obviously NOT athens, GA posting?

Oh hell, I'll go do it.

Do you live in Siberia, 3000 miles from the next nearest primate?

rb, I can't find you on the map.

I think shayborg is an alternate pseudonym for penguinmobile, as he appears to live at the Overlake Red Robin.

Well, I put the thing right where I live, unlike yourself, who apparently lives on a houseboat.
   219. rb's team is dancing! Posted: August 30, 2005 at 01:43 PM (#1584515)
Werr appears not to have put HIMSELF on there yet though.
   220. The Ghost of Celts, Sox, & Patriots Fans Past Posted: August 30, 2005 at 01:50 PM (#1584530)
OK, Firefox acknowledges that you exist, but IE does not.

I prefer that the town I live in not be specified on the web. Living on a houseboat wouldn't be bad, though.
   221. The Ghost of Celts, Sox, & Patriots Fans Past Posted: August 30, 2005 at 01:54 PM (#1584540)
Werr is on my Firefox and IE maps. He may be hiding under his neighbor if you don't zoom in.

Anybody know how to get the smell of urine off of a monitor?

(yes I'm back and yes I'm getting caught up)

Best Regards

John

Welcome back, John. You'll probably need a week to catch up. The Red Cross/Katrina thread alone will take you a day or two.

Thanks. I've been wading though it even as I write this.
