No, but Don Sutton gets a well-deserved shout.
(in fact, MLB can't touch the ABA when it comes to Afros--men against the boys)
I would like to hear about recent candidates as well. Including those in the Indians rotation.
Also, Jose Cardenal deserves a shoutout.
Eddie! Eddie! Eddie!
That looks like a failed Sideshow Bob-do.
Spector is disqualified for wearing a wig.
When I attended the ABA Reunion in Indianapolis in 8/97, I paid to have Darnell autograph something like 5 vintage 8x10s showing him in all his Afro-tastic glory -- 1 to keep, of course, & 4 to give friends back in the newsroom in Little Rock.
The '97 edition of Darnell (who I think owned a car dealership or something) had quite conservative hair. So did present-day Artis Gilmore &, of course, Dr J. *sigh*
If memory serves, another of my favorite ABA players, James Silas, at least had cornrows or something.
It's not even close.

Baseball? No.
But, the greatest hairdo ever? Hell, yeah.
