If you look closely, the handle of his bat says "f*ck face"

I miss the days when I would've been excited by seeing the new cards. I remember checking the local liquor store (Jim Otto's liquor store no less!) everyday starting in February to see if the new packs had arrived. Excuse me while I indulge is some hard core nostalgia for a moment...

Wang gets a "00"? And Hoffman doesn't even rate a "5", while Papelbon gets a "50"? What is this nonsense?

I also look forward to getting the Kucinich card.

I'm holding out for the O-Pee-Chee set.

The timing of Alex Rodriguez's decision to be chosen by some message board guy to demonstrate the new Topps set, delivering his own version of shock and awe, tells you everything you need to know about the man, if not confirms everything we always suspected: that he doesn't care one bit about the Knicks or NBA opening day or New York City or Knick fans or, for that matter, the National Basketball Association.

I'm holding out for the O-Pee-Chee set.

Years ago I ordered a Topps '67 set via Galasso's and they sent me a horrific fringed O-Pee-Chee set.

I got even by squatting and dumping on it.

When I was wee, I only came across a couple of O-Pee-Chee cards and they seemed very exotic and cool, what, with that crazy French language on the back.

The last two Topps sets have been so glossy that even Sharpie autographs partially fade off them before the ink is dry.

I hope they fixed that.

I got even by squatting and dumping on it.

I hope they learned their lesson.

That's even worse than what Repoz did . . .

(sorry folks, the late show gets a little blue)

Ugh---what's with the circus type?

It will always be 1988 Topps for me. That was my first collection.

There's a name I hadn't heard in a long time. I ordered sets from Renata Galasso from about 1973 to 1990. I really like the looks of the 2007 Goudey Upper Deck set.
