Don't forget to tip your waitress, be here all week. Hay-o.
Is Mr. Dobrow completely unaware of who will be manning the OF for the Jays? Between Wells, Lind, and Snider, there are going to be a lot of doubles this year.
I wouldn't mind if they found someone to replace Barmes, but Lopez is a guy who's been in four organizations in the past two years and looked like he just had his career year. I'm not sure the offensive upgrade would be worth the defensive difference between the two, and with this pitching staff, I'd rather they focus on putting an excellent defense out there.
The bigger question is who the fifth starter is going to be... This guy rates the Rockies very highly even though he considers getting anything out of Francis a bonus. I consider getting anything out of Francis a necessity.
Marlins at 13:
Love the ...: Way they were bullied by the Players' Union into spending some cash, which resulted in a long-term deal for gargantuan ace Josh Johnson and the return of Hulk-smash second baseman Dan Uggla. It takes a special brand of cretin to make the Players' Union look like a bastion of righteousness and moral certainty; the Marlins are every bit that cretin, and then some. Hate the ...: Cheapness. The new-stadium bickering and tomfoolery. The late-afternoon cloudbursts. Take your pick. Quote of note: "We made, like, $45 million last year. What the hell do I care about an extra arm for the stretch run? I've got a caviar bathrobe." –- Jeffrey Loria.
Nails it, pretty much.
Also, that Cardinals logo looks really odd with no red anywhere in it or around it.
Yeah. This is actually exceedingly well-written. Though of course you have to be willing to withstand the horrors of colloquial language.
It's time for me to stop trying. From here on out, I'll be replacing my Royals blurbs with commentary on current events or music reviews.
heh.
