Scott Graham and Jerry Trupiano were both left out in the cold on this one in favor of the much less qualified Masur precisely for that reason: teams simply want to go as cheap as possible on broadcasters these days, a very disturbing trend. It's especially disturbing when people say that they don't care who's broadcasting the game as long as they can hear it; for some of us--and we're apparently a dying breed--who's broadcasting the game very significantly affects our enjoyment of it. That having been said, Masur seems decent and San Diego fans will find him a nice antedote for their seven >gulp< innings of Ted Leitner.
