DC Sports Bog: Paul LoDuca Says Get Over It (RR)

Relax, this is about a radio interview before the Mitchell Report came out.  As Steinberg points out, he sounds a little defensive, given that he must have known he was named in it.  He’s also not happy with the Mets.

Am I ticked off? I’m really not ticked off any more. It’s sort of comical now, it really is. We got a call from Omar saying he was still interested when they already signed Torrealba. So, I mean, who are they trying to kid? Let me tell you something, you know that old saying, you try to bull a you know what? Who are you kidding?”

Stringer Bell could tell you there are worse things in life than not hearing from Omar.

Good thing Paulie missed the call from Mouzone.

One of the first things I remember from my early Primer days are posters like Enders and Gleeman saying that The Wire was the best show on TV.

It's too bad. If it was about steroids and LoDuca told the weeping televangelists steroidvangelists to get over it, I'd like him a lot better than I do now.

Bye Paulie Redass. We will somehow survive without you.

I don't like Lo Duca but I do agree that a player deserves a call from someone in the organization that says "Thanks for the effort but we are looking in a different direction." If the Mets didn't do that, they are at fault.

any of you lawyer types see enough to prosecute Lo Duca on?
Maybe some interstate drug trafficking law ..

* [todd] Seyler understood that the other players were giving Herges money too and that either Herges or Lo Duca would buy steroids for the group from a source in Florida [1999]
* Radomski said that Paul Lo Duca referred Brown to him in [2000]
* According to Radomski, Herges called Radomski and said that Lo Duca had given him Radomski’s telephone number [2000]
* According to Radomski, Lo Duca referred Riggs to him .. [2003]
* Radomski recalled that Lo Duca called Radomski and told Radomski that Gagné was with him and wanted to buy human growth hormone. Radomski said that Lo Duca thereafter placed orders on Gagné’s behalf. Lo Duca paid Radomski for one of the shipments to Gagné by cashier’s check.

I remember reading that and I ignored it. The Friday before last (7th) I made the mistake of watching the first disc of season 1 (yay Netflix). I say mistake because I had a research paper with my entire grade riding on it that I hadn't even begun to research that was due Monday the 17th. I was so addicted after the first disc ended up watching Seasons 1 through 4 between the 7th and the 17th. For me, it is easily the best show on TV and I wish I had found out about it earlier.
