Arbitration-eligible elbow surgery veteran Hong-Chih Kuo is scheduled to serve as a designated hitter in a charity game in Taiwan on Dec. 6.
Which means two things:
1. Kuo could be flipping bats for the first time since pwning the Mets in 2007. For reference, check out the video here at the 2:10 mark.
2. How the quotable Stan Conte might react: “Nooooooooooooooooooooo.”
Chin-lung Hu is also scheduled to pitch for Kuo’s team. Reportedly, Hu pitched in high school.
Staying on the sidelines as coaches are Chien-Ming Wang, Chin-Feng Chen and Fu-Te Ni.
The game, which raises money for flood victims, had been postponed due to the recent game-fixing scandal.
