Eck-Ernie-Reynolds-Ripken: Please Don’t Quit Your Day Jobs (Video)

The Paragons would crack some serious Schlesinger windowage over Harold and the Peuw Notes in a doo-wop war.

I am not sure there are really any words to explain this from the end of the TBS postgame coverage after Game 2 of the ALCS between the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays.

At least they all agree they were brutal.

No, please let them quit. At least Reynolds. He's horrific.

This was incredibly disturbing.

That would have been an opportune time (if there was such a thing) for Bin Laden to pop his head up.

Bizarre. And Ripken looked like he wanted no part of it.

Eck actually has good pitch. His notes and rhythm were all dead-on.

Viciously reedy tenor, however. Singing from the throat instead of the diaphragm. He was pretty much drowning everyone else out so it was hard to hear. Ernie's some manner of bass.

I dunno, as a small indictment to how much we've heard that 15 seconds of music over the past 10 days, I thought it was kind of amusing.

They're far better than the real Bon Jovi.

Hey Lassus, I aplologized to you at the end of last night's game thread--hope you saw it.

Hey, I was waiting for chatter to respond - thanks, and we're totally cool. Among other more recent things, my dad was a division, like D7 college basketball ref, so I do end up on their side more often than not.

That Kotsay strike was a bad call, but overall, I stand by my figures. ;-)

I thought it was quite funny - it was something the NBA team would do, with HR in the Kenny Smith role, Eck as Barkley, and Ripken as Magic Johnson trying to figure out just how badly his brand was being destroyed.

Did I miss the Cal Ripkin Jr. Show? With musical director......

I can't think of anyone for Magic Johnson::Sheila E. as Cal Ripkin Jr.:: ?

That was the main reason I was sorry Magic's show failed, I always loved Sheila E..

Karen Carpenter. Sure, she's dead, but she's a singing drummer chick from a musical family and is very, very white.

Cal Ripkin Jr.

What more does the man have to do to get his name spelled correctly?

How about Meg White? Even the name is white.
