ESPN Article on Manny has quote that defines the last week and a half in sports

“I should go to Green Bay straight up and they should send Brett Favre to Boston. That will end two soap operas at the same time,” Ramirez told Rojas.

Agreed. I totally want to see Manny back-up Aaron Rodgers and Favre take balls off the monster. Anything to end the two-pronged madness.

Manny and Favre should both be dealt to Valdosta, Georgia to review video of Patriots opponents while taking HGH with Roger Clemens. That would make them more NOW.

Valdosta could just sign Bonds as a free agent.

AG1F, I think you win the daily BBTF Stream of Consciousness Award today.

Could ESPN be spending any more time on Brett Favre? I'm sorry, Favre is really coming across as a diva.

Thank goodness the WS of Poker is playing these days to break up the Favre-mania.

This isn't a new thing. It's been happening the past 5 years or so.

yeah, last night the bottom of the screen goes flashing red and it says BREAKING NEWS... and I'm expecting some baseball trade. But the "breaking news" was that Goodell wants to meet with Favre tomorrow. Thats breaking news? not even a meeting, but an intention of a meeting?

Okay, bad wording.

True. The "breaking news" on Favre is so freakin lame. Wake me up when he's in a football uniform.

Maybe they should trade for Primer Piazza 1.0.

"Not many people know I owned the first radio in Springfield. Weren’t much on the air then, just Edison reciting the alphabet over and over. ‘A!’ he’d say, then ‘B’. ‘C’ would usually follow."

I'm not sure but I think I was the first to make the Manny for Favre joke (even beating Manny to it). Not that it's so clever.

Any semi-billionaire ballplayer who can come up with a line like that can't be all bad.

Make it a 3 way trade, sending Favre to Philadelphia for Geoff Jenkins. Nobody would ever know the difference.

Actually, is Favre playing for the Phillies right now? I thought at one point Jenkins actually could hit.

Don't put on ESPNews.

Breaking news! "Packers offer to pay Favre to go away"

Breaking news! "Packers consider trading Favre"

Breaking news! "Favre plans to get on plane"

I wish I was kidding.

One sack in practice and it will be Manny being Whammied.
