I don't know which leaves me more in disbelief -- the fact that Gammo is fellating Jeter yet again, or the fact that he says Jeter is not a "great-skilled player." Obviously the glove is highly overrated, but I'd still say he's one of the better hitters in major league baseball.
The Cardinals gave Gammons an NRI?
That really depends on what you mean by particurlarly fast. I mean, he wasn't fast last year, but over his career, Jeter is absolutely one of the fastest guys in getting down the line from the right handed side of the batter's box. He may not be a burner like Reyes or Ellsbury, but he was for most of his, career, a very fast guy.
