Yea, but this is the same Nolan Ryan that told David Cone yesterday…that he wants all Ranger starters to go another inning or two per start next year. Wrestle with that, Hunter Hurley Harrison!
There’s no more simple way to put it than by saying that Nolan Ryan articulates very well what I think everyone believes is killing/did kill Roger Clemens’ reputation.
Nolan Ryan appeared today on Dan Patrick’s syndicated radio show and made it clear that he in no way supports the PED-denials of fellow Texan Roger Clemens (audio): “It’s just a shame that Roger has gotten caught up in this situation and he took the stance that he did and that so many things have come out ... that have cast a bad light on his career.
If you look at what happened with some of the other players (who used PEDs), they stepped up and said ‘hey, I did it, I knew it was wrong,’ and they asked for forgiveness and have gone on about their business. I think it’s just unfortunate Roger took the position that he did and that so much has come out about it.”

Yes he does and you ought to be ashamed of yourself.
I didn't read the full article, but i am guessing there is no mention of Tom House, or even the obvious question? ...I can't wait for that book. and I love Ryan. I do.
how come none of you media types that frequent this place, have never knocked on that door? It was a lot of strikeouts. Possibly even a record or three.
Doesn't this method only work if Clemens actually used PEDs. I admit that I think he did, and that I believe the evidence points towards his use of PEDs, but why should he apologize if he didn't use them (or didn't knowingly use them)?
Besides, with the other guys who have admitted, we've been subjected to a steady stream of "I only used them once", or non-apologies like Giambi's "I'm sorry for some unspecified incident", with no critical analysis as to the accuracy of the players claims against their alleged use.

You're just mad that you aren't the one between the donkey and Julia Child.
Like Sosa (no evidence yet), like Pettitte, like Giambi, like Palmeiro & Tejada ("contaminated" B12), like Mike Cameron (amps, rather than HGH/steroids), like Greg Zaun (the cheque was to pay off a bet), and like almost all the others.
The only players for who there have been serious investigations and analysis of claims are Clemens and Bonds, and even these are far from perfect.
As opposed to you, or Nolan?
You know, I once prank-called Julia Child. True story. We figured no better time existed to do the "Is your refridgerator running?" classic. Sadly, she hung up without answering.
You can't deny guilt; that's just a sign of guilt.
Tee. Hee.
Didn't he rat out his buddy before he actually shut his mouth?
This thread delivers! RDF.
"Damn, Rog, you nailed that singer chick when she was just 15? Sweet!"
You mean beef gravy was injecting Wolfgang Puck's butt into Julia Child? That doesn't make any sense at all....
I'm pretty sure that's a goiter.

None of them were stupid enough to have a press conference and file a defamation suit either. And other than Palmeiro, none of them gave false testimony under oath to Congress, either. That sort of matters when you're discussing the reaction to it, seems to me.
Unless, of course, you're like the dude around here who refuses to read anything that suggests Clemens did something wrong, that is.
Thats all i am thinking about reading this thread...
