The fact that Chris Young is not on the all star team is a joke.

Vote Chris Young!

I boldly predict that Pat Neshek will be the first unanimous Final Vote selection. (Or should be, at least...)

Why Neshek over Okajima? I like Neshek a lot, but Okajima is pitching great too. They have both pitched basically the same amount of innings (40). Neshek has more Ks, but Okajima has a lower ERA and holds opposing hitters to a lower OPS.

Also, Okajima is ahead in WXRL.

I don't see why it's obvious it should be Neshek, much less should be him unanimously.

For the record, I think this gimmick is really stoopid.

hell the nl ballot almost has a starting rotation that would be insane if they were all on the same team

I hope Okajima doesn't win because he takes 15-20 seconds between every pitch when the bases are mpty and even longer with runners on. The game will end at 2am EST. What happened to the hurry up rule they were harping on in ST?

Anybody who has never had a chance to see Neshek pitch deserves it. He is one of the most fun players to watch because he's so quirky compared to just about everyone else.

MLB.com: Young aces get jump on Final Vote
Jeremy Bonderman of the Tigers and Chris Young of the Padres were holding the narrow early lead in the Monster All-Star Final Vote as of 5 p.m. ET on Monday...
...
Bonderman was leading a very close race among the five AL candidates, followed by Hideki Okajima of the Red Sox, Pat Neshek of the Twins, Kelvim Escobar of the Angels and Roy Halladay of the Blue Jays.

Young was immediately followed in the first-day NL standings by Carlos Zambrano of the Cubs, Roy Oswalt of the Astros, Tom Gorzelanny of the Pirates and Brandon Webb of the Diamondbacks.

Bonderman, the whole Bonderman, and nothing but the Bonderman.
