FireKennyWilliams.com has been taken - by Major League Baseball

Quick...somebody check to see if Andy MacPhailure.com is taken!

White Sox General Manager Kenny Williams has now expressed his frustrations …

“If I ever leave this job or if I ever get fired,” Williams says, “I’m not coming back to the American League. I’m going to the National League. You’ve got a fighting chance over there.”

So with this in mind (and the White Sox fanbase growing edgy) you’d think that some disgruntled fan has already snatched up FireKennyWilliams.com to rant about the recent misfortunes of the Pale Hose.

Well, FireKennyWilliams.com has indeed been registered.  Someone with some foresight did it back on April 13, 2007.
The owner, however, might surprise you.

The owner of FireKennyWilliams.com is …MLB Advanced Media, LP

The awesome part is that if MLB ever does decide to take MLB Advanced Media public, they'd have a legal responsibility to shareholders to maximize the profit from that domain, rather than just cybersquat on it for an unrelated entity.
   17. cardsfanboy Posted: December 14, 2007 at 03:42 AM (#2645341)
considering that a website called fire joemorgan.com gets a crapload of hits, even though it's basically written by a guy with an 80 iq and the writing ability of buster olney, it would be smart of mlb to actually get funny people to write these blogs and maximize the potential profits. I mean I've seriously have seen even an intelligent website like this one link to firejoemorgan.com and those guys make 1. buster olney appear intelligent(which takes a monumental task) and 2.are borderline illiterate and obviously extremely repetitive. (I don't think they have said a new thing after their fifth post, but heck they have a following...next thing I might see is a keith law claiming suppan is a journeyman number 5 starter on their website....just to gain credibility of being blatantly retarded)
   18. MM1f Posted: December 14, 2007 at 04:08 AM (#2645352)
Well, it IS lame that MLBAM claimed that website, but at least that doesn't give whatever random idiot out there that wanted that site a chance to spout his nonsense.

Fire Kenny Williams my butt...
People just want to see the moves that conform to their beliefs, regardless of whether they conform to their idealogy or not

I hear you, but really, I don't think it actually does that. For one thing, there are many synonyms for "fire" that work great (can, ax, dump).

Oh great. The Swift Boat attacks are starting early this election season. My fellow Americans are too smart to fall for these smears. Yes, they most certainly are.
