Grand Prarie Airhogs: A-ROD & MADONNA NIGHT

If only I hadn’t drinkingly frugged in the middle of “(I’d Go The) Whole Wide World” (sob).

The Grand Prairie AirHogs of the American Association of Professional Baseball has announced an “A-Rod & Madonna Night” promotion for Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 7:05 p.m. against the Shreveport Sports. The team will poke fun at the latest celebrity gossip which rumors the two mega-stars are romantically involved.

One dollar tickets will be offered to any couples coming to the game who claim to “share an agent.” Fans will also receive dollar admission if they wear an Alex Rodriguez jersey (Texas or New York) or come dressed as any era of Madonna.

As part of the promotion, there will be between-inning contests to settle the divorce between our very own A-Rod and Cynthia Rodriguez look-alikes. They will compete in contests to see who gets to keep their home, car, and other lavish items.

The entire stadium will take on an A-Rod & Madonna-themed atmosphere. This will include a Madonna dance contest, as well as music and video clips from “A League of their Own” playing during the game, while A-Rod clips will be shown from his entire baseball career.

I have two questions about this whole ARod and Madonna imbroglio:

(1) Why do people think it's any of their business?

Next time you go to the grocery store and are in the check line, realize there is a whole industry base upon this. Don't know why, but I do read them while on line. Don't buy them though.

it is a big BIG deal because arod is 33 and rich and famous and an athlete playing baseball for That Storied Franchise. those guys are "supposed" to be interested only in YOUNG blonds sluts with giant fake boobs and no brainz

madonna is 17 years OLDER than arod, has REAL boobs, and brainz and is not a stripper/groupie. although i guess the slut part sure nuff is correct

this really bothers guys who like to fantasize about being arod and having swarms of YOUNG blond slutty groupies all over them and arod is destroying their fantasy by (supposedly) falling in love with a MUCH older woman

and by the way i still say it is bullstuff that it is ok for a male to be a total slut and it is not ok for a female. madonna ain't done nothing that most famous men ain't done. only the famous men probably had more sexual encounters then she did

That's funny, cause I know in my office, the only people talking about the ARod and Madonna thing are women, and their universal reaction seems to be disappointment in ARod because he could get someone younger and more attractive.

Yes, my point was that, as opposed to what you have been saying, from what I have seen that sexism is coming from women and not men.
