Greeley Tribune: [Shawn] Chacon arrested at Greeley bowling center

Police received an anonymous tip at 7:57 p.m. Monday that Chacon was at Highland Park Lanes, 1900 59th Ave. in Greeley, and that tip led to his arrest soon after, according to police reports.

Chacon was taken to the Weld County Jail, and bail was set at $165,125.

I suspect the Greeley police won’t accept a personal check.

They must have done a hard-target search of every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse, doghouse and bowling alley in the area.

As a friend of mine once scolded a group of rowdy teens: "Show some respect! You're in a bowling alley!"

In many parts of the country, things have actually changed.

I'm betting a primate dropped the dime on Chacon. Who else would know he owed $150k to a casino?

How much are you betting on that? $150 K? I know a guy who could lend it to you.

Greeley, Colorado was once voted the worst-smelling city in the United States. It is home to the largest feedlots I have ever encountered in my life. One of my colleagues, an amateur pilot, said that you can literally see nothing but a field of black as you fly over the area, cows pressed nose-to-nose literally for miles.

This is not 'Nam, Chacon. This is bowling. There are rules!

Greeley, Colorado was the town whose decadence and depravity led Sayyid Qutb to write a series of extremely popular books that inspierd Osama bin Laden as well as the Muslim Brotherhood.

One of my college roommates had roots in Greeley. I'll have to get the lowdown.

He spent 2009 in the minor leagues, playing most of the year for the Sacramento River Cats, where he went 8-4 with a 6.29 ERA.
That's some big park effect.

Chacon, this is what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps.

It wasn't me! I go to Littleton Lanes.

Didn't tina say that her boyfriend worked at the Greeley lanes? I think he operated the ball-o shine-o and let her eat free Kit Kats. And something about him not being able to spell, but he sure could cuss. . .

Edit: Nope, I was wrong, it was the Lincoln Lanes:

"just becase I am in remedial english its no reason to call me a trailer park girl. my boyfriend didnt pass english either and he has a good job operating the shin-o ball-o at the lincoln lanes. on sundays he is the shift manager and we can eat all the chips we want. sometimes kit kats too. he may not look like colin farrell but he sure can cuss."

Which bowling alley was it that inspired those kids to shoot up their high school?

I live in Longmont. When the wind's out of the northeast you can smell the Greeley feedlots, 40 miles away. People actually say "must be a cold front coming, I can smell Greeley."

The feedlot and the accompanying slaughterhouse/packaging plant is mentioned in Fast Food Nation. There's some line in it about producing more poop than the combined cities of Denver, Atlanta and St Louis or something like that.

It also used to be owned by the Monfort family until it was sold to ConAgra. I imagine the proceeds helped the Monforts acquire the Rockies.
