Griffey leaves ChiSox game vs. Royals after cramping in leg

I think my favorite moment of the Ken Griffey Jr. era in Chicago was the second single last night. But there are so many good choices.

it was 95 out there with a heat index of 110+

and it would have never happened if there was a retractable roof!

...and Cal Ripken sighs a sigh of sweet relief - the record appears to be safe!

Thanks to Jocketty/Castellini for helping me avoid the frustration of a Griffey injury.

The Sox ask Griffey to play center field, and he gets hurt. I never saw it coming.

Gotta admit, though, I thought Griffey looked really cool wearing Sox black...

Griffey immediately blamed the cramp on Jay Mariotti.

As both a Twins fan and a longtime Griffey supporter, it made me die a little inside.

Well Kenny Williams said CF was less likely to cause injuries than corner OF, maybe Griffey would have only lasted one game...
