High-tech Matt Tuiasosopo makes M’s debut

If I’m not mistaken..."High-Tech Tuiasosopo” was a conga growling outtake from the Fela Ransome-Kuti and The Africa ‘70 Live ! (with Ginger Baker) sessions.

Some computer savvy and ingenuity helped Matt Tuiasosopo prepare for his family’s latest foray into Seattle sports lore.

...With no video footage of Pettitte to watch on the team’s off day, he pulled out his laptop and downloaded some YouTube files of some of the lefty’s more impressive moments.

“He looked pretty nasty in those videos,” Tuiasosopo said. “He was striking everyone out.”

But Tuiasosopo did come away with some useful information.

“Tendencies that he might fall into,” he said. “Pitches he might throw in counts. Movement on his balls.”

Did he pull clips off YouTube or from MLB.com? Seems to me it's pretty hard to find actual footage on YouTube, what with baseball's obsessive covetousness of its broadcasts.

So how many other current MLB players have a brother that plays in the NFL? I remember that Mark McGwire did, and like Tuiasosopo, his brother was a QB.

In addition to his two football playing brothers (although Zach played on NFL practice squads, I don't think he ever played in an actual NFL regular season game), he has two sisters, one who was an All-Pac-10 player on the University of Washington volleyball team, and another who currently pitches for the Huskies' softball team. Plus their Dad played in the NFL, of course...

That's pretty impressive.

There was the legendary Josh Booty. Did either of his brothers get to the NFL?

John David Booty was drafted by the Vikings this year and is on their team, though he obviously hasn't played in a game yet.

More Manu Dibango I would have thought.

But always nice to see a Fela shout out.
