Michael Bourn, Lance Berkman and Geoff Blum each homered to send the streaking Astros to a 13-4 win and a four-game sweep of the Cincinnati Reds this afternoon. In their first game without injured slugger [Carlos] Lee, the Astros got a season-high in runs and extra-base hits (eight) and rode a strong performance from lefthander Wandy Rodriguez, who gave up five hits and two runs in 6 2/3 innings.
The Astros have won 12 of their past 16 games to get to within one game of .500 (58-59) for the first time since they were 33-34 on June 12. They have won nine games in a row at Great American Ball Park.
The awful Reds have lost six in a row and 14 of 16 and were swept in four games by the Astros for the first time since 2003.

And Bailey has no reason to be in the majors.
Where are they going to play him? LF or 1st?
