This is sad news - Izzy was a very good pitcher for a number of years, and you hate to see anyone's career end on an injury. Best of luck, Jason.
More than a few careers seem to end on the St. Louis DL.

Too bad. Izzy's been ugly to watch for some time now (well, if you're a Cards fan), but he's had a damn fine run for some terrific teams. And he's the only one of the Mets' early '90s collection of golden arms to survive the Dallas Green Arm-Grinding Machine well enough to have a career of any sort of note, even though he had to go to the pen to do it.
