They've already taken the steps forward.
Now it's time to win before all the good players walk in their FA years.
I appreciate the compliment.
But this is how Yost keeps the local media enthralled. He works to project an image of being combative but in reality he shies away from confrontation. When a player with a challenging personality like a Podsednik or Estrada is on the team and at some point causes a kerfuffle Yost is all a tizzy. The Brewers are a bunch of hard-working guys who just want to win.
Wouldn't hurt to have a bit of the red-#ss on the team. But Melvin knows Ned can't manage with that element on the team.
Another accomodation to the manager's limitations. As you can tell the list is pretty d#mn long.
I thought that Kendall would provide that, as his RAARP (Red-Assedness Above Replacement Player) is at an inner-circle HOF level. Has Kendall mellowed with age and injuries?
Call me when the Brewers pick up Ted Williams. They were better off without bums like Estrada and Podsednik, so who cares how Yost handled them? They weren't worth the time.
