Kaitlin Olson: ‘I Went Into Labor At Phillies Game’

Waters breaks from Eagles or something…

Actress Kaitlin Olson has given birth to a baseball baby - she went into labor during a Los Angeles Dodgers game on Tuesday.

Olson and husband Rob McElhenney became parents to Axel Lee McElhenney on Wednesday afternoon, but the actress’ contractions started the night before at Dodger Stadium.

She tells People.com, “I went into labor at the Phillies/Dodgers game on Tuesday night. As soon as (Phillies star) Ryan Howard hit a three-run home run, we felt comfortable leaving to go have our baby. We love him like crazy, even though he made us miss the second half of the game.”

I never knew Steve Bedrosian's nickname was "Bedrock" until this show. It really is the program that keeps on giving (I hope anyway, I haven't seen season 5 yet, and it's got to run out of steam at some point)

#13 - Not my favorite episode, but that letter slayed me (particularly the stickers).

Not as funny (particularly as a standalone bit), but this clip is more representative of Philly's season.

All those guys are such total no-names outside the show, and have such distinct identities in the show, that it seemed very weird to see Charlie in the ads for the new Drew Barrymore movie as one of the "I'm a Mac" guy's buddies. It was like seeing Philip J. Fry show up in "How to Train Your Dragon".

I love Danny DeVito on the show. The weird thing is that I've seen that guy act in so many things for essentially my whole life, but now I can't even imagine him as not Frank Reynolds.

If you really want a shock, watch Law & Order's Season 8 opener. It's hard to take Rob McElhenney seriously on trial for multiple murders after seeing It's Always Sunny.

What's so amazing about the show is that the characters really are fairly complex. For example, Mac's child abandonment issues are regularly tackled without actually addressing the issue directly - they're worse people than the Seinfeld characters, but they're more interesting as people.

FYI: Hulu.com has the Phillies-centric Sunny episode (featuring the Fillie Phrenetic, & a Red Sox cameo).

I saw about fifteen episodes of the show before realizing Frank was the father of the two non-bearded characters. I thought he was just a weird guy who hung around.

Actually, we still have an unanswered question on how someone may or may not be related to Frank (don't want to spoil anything if you're working through).

Thank you for this thread. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Maybe since I saw those clips the first time. I need to start watching this show again.

I think the entire upcoming season is supposed to revolve around Dee getting knocked up and no one knowing who the father is.

I think I could listen to Charlie Day read the phone book and laugh hysterically. His delivery just cracks me up. The conclusion of the health care episode ("Day Bow Bow"?) where he breaks down and gives his Pepe Silva conspiracy theory still slays me.
