KC Star: Royals rally, beat Giants 11-10

In other news, Tim Lincecum is considering trying to send Keiichi Yabu back to Tijuana.

Facing Giants starter Tim Lincecum, to this point one of the best two or three pitchers in the National League, the Royals trailed 6-0 when they batted in the third and 10-3 in the fifth.

The key moments included David DeJesus in the third, when he hit an RBI double and then scored from second on a wild pitch, sliding hard into home and flipping Lincecum in the process.

Another came in the sixth, when Mike Aviles — shortstop of the future? — hit a bases-loaded, two-run double that tied the score at 10.

They took their first lead on a flare single to left by Joey Gathright in the seventh.

That game was one ugly baby.

Lincecum had 5 ER and a 1.60 WHIP on 109 pitches through 5 innings. He'd better not be upset with anyone.

Also, Bill Welke sucks. Even if Hinshaw getting ejected after being removed from the game was amusing.
