Korea’s preliminary roster, Sosa, Rowland-Smith and Corey Koskie are in today’s WBC news

Korea has revealed their preliminary roster- although it has names on it of players who have said they won’t play.

Sammy Sosa hopes to play for the Dominican team in the WBC.

Ryan Rowland-Smith would like to represent his native Australia, but wants to see what his manager and pitching coach think first.

Finally, something on Canada’s team from the Twin Cities:

Look for former Twins third baseman Corey Koskie, 35, recovering from post-concussion syndrome, to play third base for Team Canada in the World Baseball Classic next spring.

Look for former Twins third baseman Corey Koskie, 35, recovering from post-concussion syndrome, to play third base for Team Canada in the World Baseball Classic next spring.

That's great news, if it happens. I always liked Koskie, and I always felt bad that the concussions ruined his career. I'd love to see him make a comeback if he can handle playing again.

EDIT: Just noticed that it's Charley Walters, which means that the rumor probably has absolutely nothing to it. That was a fun minute or two of excitement, though.
