Not without a suitable roofed stadium, I tells ya.

T & B is always among the first five comments in any Marlins thread. I think he may be their best fan who is not related to a player and does not live in Dade County.

So that's one fan then. Where are the 59,999 others fans that the Marlins need to attract each night to sustain themselves?

This is something the Marlins would probably do for two seasons, until the Orange Bowl park is ready.
A question: Why would it have to be a Mets series? They normally draw well in Miami, thanks in part to all the New York area emigres in south Florida. If the Fish are going to move an intradivision series to San Juan, wouldn't one against the Nationals make more sense, since they're not ordinarily a draw?

You're assuming that MLB would approach this logically. But we're talking about the people who schedule Yankees/Mets for Memorial Day weekend every year.

I work with a guy who claims to be a Marlins fan. But he lost a smidgeon of credibility when he didn't know who Hanley Ramirez was (3 months ago).

Yes, we actually can fill a park for the Mets. No good reason to take that series away--ship Fish v. Pirates or Rockies or Nationals or Padres or Reds down there.
Marlins do good in TV ratings; something like 12th, I think.

The Mets have a fair number of Puerto Ricans on the team.

What he said. I think it's pretty fair to say the Mets are the 2nd most popular team in Puerto Rico, a distant 2nd after the Yankees. Other very good draws during the Expos series were Atlanta and Texas (back when Pudge and Juan Gone were on the team).
I don't know what the least popular team is, but I'd bet it's one of the Pirates or Rockies or Nationals or Padres.
