It's a relief that no one got hurt. It would terrible if something happened to Reyes (e.g. the way Sanchez got hurt).
it was called the Triboro Bridge until last year.
How long 'til they're calling it the Ethel Kennedy Bridge?
9 killed in a DC Metro accident... but unfortunately the National pitchers all take taxis.
I wonder if Teddy will every get a bridge named after him. Probably not.
Final Destination 4 anyone?
I happened to catch the last half of a show* on one of the HBOs about the Dodgers/Walter O'Malley. Robert Moses is portrayed as the villain, O'Malley as a guy doing what he had to do for the most part. The Hitler, Stalin and O'Malley joke got a play. Robert Caro was interviewed throughout, mostly giving background to the whole Flushing Meadow vs. Terminus of the LIRR debate.
*I don't know if it was an old one or a new one.
EDIT: And while I wish every sort of perdition on the Mets winning percentage, I do not wish that their players or trainers get hurt. I'm glad Reyes and Ramirez are okay.
How about this one?
How about this one?
Boy, did you miss the low hanging fruit.
