One day maybe 15 years ago Rollie Fingers rang the opening bell on the American Exchange. He was promoting some venture of his or another. It was kind of cool.

By far the best floor guest we ever had was the supermodel who did all the hockey players, I forget her name.

Carol Alt

I remember the Hockey News would have the question each year in their fan survey: What hockey player would you like to be and Ron Greschner would finish third behind Lemieux and Gretzky.

In 1991, Mitch was traded to The Philadelphia Phillies, where he would play until 1993, helping his team advance to the 1993 World Series with his 43 saves that year and his 2 wins and 2 saves in the six game NLCS series against the Atlanta Braves.
In 1994, Mitch was traded to the Houston Astros and retired with the Kansas City Royals in 1997.

Something seems missing here, but I just can't put my finger on it.

His save in the World Series?

As Mitch went to ring the bell, Joe Carter stepped out of the shadows, swung his bat, and smashed the bell off the stand and into the viewing gallery down the left side of the room.
