Did you see the play? I don't understand what happened from the description? I can't picture a player watching a ball go by and not trying to get it and Cano's explanation isn't very helpful either.
Just in case kevin is sleeping. It is almost midnight.
Giambi dives to his right on a ball that should have been caught...as Cano is ranging to his left to make a play on the ball. Ball skips off Giambi's glove and bounces into shallow RF BEHIND CANO...Cano makes half hearted turn to ball, stops and stares at the ball rolling into the OF. He then half-asses his way to retrieve it, but by this time Abreu has a beat on it...and Floyd is safe at second.
A woofer all around.

Does this even require a funny comment?
Where's "Past a diving Jeter" when you need him?
(snicker)
That's awesome.
For bonus points, figure out a way to blame this on A-Rod.
Any time Abreu beats you to a ball, you know you need to try harder...
It was actually Nady. Abreu had the day off.
That sounds rather sarcastic, to me.
Yep, Bowa would have fielded the ball and thrown Davey Lopes out at first. (Stated in case there are any Phillies Phans on this thread.)
Hilarious mental picture--kudos.
Best Regards
John
In bed with two bronze beauties. You?
