“Lawn Logo” is about to hit the market, and as the New Jersey-based company behind it touts, “suburbia may never look the same.”
Starting with 14 major league teams, do-it-yourself kits first will be sold for an unspecified introductory price on QVC on Aug. 31. They will be sold at select retailers, including True Value and Ace hardware stores, with a suggested retail price of $129.99.
The kits, officially licensed by Major League Baseball, include a 52-inch reusable stencil and enough spray paint, in the team’s official colors and designed for grass, for several applications. There is no guarantee, of course, that the kits will not be used to paint the sides of houses, abandoned buildings or subway cars.
According to the company’s website, the teams available first are: NYY, BOS, CWS, DET, MIN, LAA, TEX, ATL, NYM, PHI, CHC, CIN, STL, and LAD

Grandmothers everywhere, of course. Doesn't seem to be the demographic, though who knows, in Texas.
I find this so depressing.
Hey, it beats the people who get buried in caskets with team logos.
Possibly not, depending on your local town ordinances. Well, I'd guess you can buy the kit, but you might not be able to use it as directed.
Where I live now, I suspect this wouldn't be allowed, since the house has been hassled for both having grass that was too long and not having enough grass.
I think they forgot a 0 in the price of the Braves Logo. If anything the Cubs one should be more expensive, because it’s the only one using three colors.
Judging by the website, only if you make sure to stencil in the TM next to the logo.
I have no doubts, he is not alone. Crop designs, garbage trucks, school buses, combines, you name it, I've seen it with a big red 'N' on it.
I feel college fans are more inclined to display their affection in this manner. Ever hear of Paul Bear Bryant?
Yeah, that website is pathetic, simply super-imposing logos on a generic lawn image. They really should show pictures of painted lawns; that they don't is a big red flag. I guess we'll all find out on QVC.
Wasn't there an article last year about a Boston fan who built a miniature Green Monster in his yard?
Edit: by "miniature" I mean only 10 feet high or so.
