"the Yankee captain danced the night away then came off the bench to draw a key base on balls with the game on the line."
And quite honestly, what is the "wee hours of the morning?" With the Saturday night game at 7:05 he could have come in at 5AM and still gotten ten hours of sleep easily.
I hate the Yankees, I can't stand Alex Rodriguez, but really, this is just ridiculous.
Who's A-Rod's J.Jonah Jameson?
Are you kidding? The newspapers love A-Rod. He's an easy story every day, no matter what he has or hasn't done. For them, it's like waking up every morning, to find that it's always Christmas.
Being out with fatigue is like calling in sick, if you call in sick from work it's pretty bad if you are caught partying that same day.
The walk comment was ridiculously obviously.
If he didn't care about his press, then whatever. But, you know, The Rod he ain't.
How about if he's too unlucky to get his BABIP up to where it should be?
First, the Friday night game ended after 10 PM. It's unlikely he left the park before 11 PM. So had he gone anywhere after the game, even to play canasta with his mother, he'd be out in the "wee hours." There's no evidence he was out for more than 3 hours max, which I'm sure almost all his teammates were as well. And if he went home after he was spotted leaving at 2:30, he could have been sleeping by 3:30 and gotten plenty of sleep, as #3 noted above. Also, it was decided ahead of time that A-Rod would not start Friday or Saturday. This article makes it sound like he was benched Saturday because he was tired from Friday night's shenanigans. Ridiculous.
I think the "fatigue" is more than clearing his head, but it's probably concerning his hip and not his entire body. He's been playing every game on a healing joint and it could use a couple days to recover. Sipping on a fruity cocktail at 2 AM isn't going to affect that.
Let it be said, if I ever leave a party with Kate Hudson at 2:30 in the morning, I will not be sleeping by 3:30.
I'm not sure it's crazy to think that the evening might have ended with some, ahem, activities that might involve the healing joint in question.
Me, I'll be asleep at 2:32 am.
But she will be.
ARod was last seen on top of a roof yelling, "I am a Golden God." He then wanted his last words to be "I'm on drugs!"
He then accused of Selena Roberts of being "the enemy."
What kind of beer?
And are we talking about $50 dollar bucks?
What a loser. He should've been like Jeter and hit into a double play.
