Heilman issued a walk-off walk to Josh Willingham, sending the Mets to a 4-3 loss at Dolphin Stadium… With the Mets’ bullpen taxed—Luis Ayala and Scott Schoeneweis are nursing injuries—Pelfrey lasted 6 2/3 innings in all.

The Mets could have used a few more. Jacobs led off the eighth inning with a solo homer off Duaner Sanchez, eliminating any chance that Pelfrey might earn his fourth straight win.
