[Bob Melvin’s] team responded with a dramatic 4-3 walkoff win, its third of the year, that should give Arizona a boost heading into a big three-game weekend series with the Dodgers in Los Angeles.
The Dodgers used three homers and a decent performance from Hiroki Kuroda to win their fifth straight game, 6-4, on Wednesday against the Padres at Dodger Stadium.

I've seen teams suck, but the Dbacks are the suckiest bunch of sucks who ever sucked
Luckily, Stephen Drew is smoking hot right now. Otherwise the Dbacks would suck worse

Angel Berroa was being Angel Berroa tonight - his first HR in two years, to accompany a double and solid defense, as the Dodgers won 6-4, to keep it at 1.5 games behind the snakes.
Manny was intentionally walked twice tonight.

Yea that .279/.488/.492 line Dunn has brought to Arizona hasn't been important, without counting his 2 walks and game winning hit tonight.
Dude it was an amazing win. Can't you turn off the downer mantra for one night just to enjoy an unlikely and gutty victory?

VA, I meant that Drew's "hotness" this series helped the Dbacks win it, instead of getting swept. I suppose his 5 for 5 night a couple of days ago didn't matter, neither did his triple tonight.
Get off your apologist horse here, will you? No one is saying anything negative about Dunn
Grace was calling out the Padres for starting LeBlanc on Wednesday.

Padres suck. Except for when they're facing AZ
I'm so happy LA plays the Padres six more times

Yeah. Like the Padres have 5 good starters to go with after trading Maddux.
Did Grace have a suggestion on who the Padres should have started?

Traditionally the Padres get up for LA. The Dodgers were their big opponent, while the Dodgers viewed SF as their big opponent, while SD was the resort town they brought their families to, rather than focus on the actual games. If SD players have decided to actually focus their play on the Dbacks, I'm happy.

Traditionally the Padres get up for LA. Big deal. They get up by starting Wade LeBlanc.
The Padres might try to win one of their remaining 6 games vs. LA. What a bunch of sucks.
The Padres and Dbacks don't face each other any more this year. Maybe in the NLCS, however...

FWIW, over the past few years the Padres seem to start a guy in his major league debut against the Dodgers once a season - and they always seem to give up one run in six or seven innings. LeBlanc was the exception.
What can you say - he just happened to come up against that noted slugger, Angel Berroa.

Based on the results last time they played, I'd say thats a good thing.

No matter what happens in the weekend series, I think the division goes down to the final week of the season. Neither team is good enough to open up a 7 game lead with 6 to play. The schedule clearly favors the Dodgers, but with a little luck, the Cardinals will be out of it by the time the D Backs go to St. Louis for that 4 game series and they will be playing mostly kids and scrubs.

I believe in pre-emptive warfare to prevent the inevitable Dunn attacks. And I'm not an apologist, I'm a dreamer, and yesterday one of my dreams came true.

Next Grace will call out the Padres for trading Maddux. And Randy Wolf. And Tony Clark.

Inevitable Dunn attacks? You think Marty Brennaman will start posting here soon?
