Wow. The Brewers are sinking as fast as the Dbacks...
At least the Brewers are still in some sort of a race...
Still being the operative word.
The Dbacks are dead and bloated.
Myers pitches a CG, 2 batters over the minimum and his game is not even close to the game of the day. Give Fielder credit though, his HR was a laser shot.
The fans were a little subdued at the game tonight. CBP was about 10K short of a sellout and some of the fans had attended the afternoon game and were plenty burnt out. It was in the low 90s today in Philly and humid.
Suppan was lucky not to give up 10 runs. In the first three innings he only induced 5 batters to make outs. 3 DPs and a CS supplied the other 4 outs.

"We put ourselves in this position," said Braun. "We were in control of our destiny and we're no longer in that position. We've made it hard on ourselves.
"We put ourselves in this position. It's nobody else's fault. It's not other teams playing good. It's us playing bad."
...
"This series was a complete and total disaster," said Braun. "It couldn't have gone any worse. They couldn't have played any better. We couldn't have played any worse."
"They're probably drinking champagne and having in a beer shower right now in our locker room while we sulk about what happened here," said Braun. "It's ironic, where we're at as a team and how we feel at the end of this series and see them celebrating a no-hitter on our field.
"The way things are going, it doesn't surprise me. It's almost fitting."
Wow...a low point indeed.

I don't think Braun had really popped off since the Fenway sweep, which kicked off a long tear. I wonder if Braun is hoping for the same result.
Wow...a low point indeed.
