The opening Jose Reyes montage was something where an ESPN producer decided "I'm going to use every single effect possible to deify Jose Reyes." The big digital overlay of "REYES" on the outfield grass to finish it up gave it something of a Kim Jong Il feel.
Incidentally, I had no idea he was a player manager with the Mets. Pete Rose is the only recent player manager I can think of. Who else has there been since the Divisional split?
Pass it on.
Can we get an article about the hot month Jose Reyes had in May, 310/379/534? Or does he need to carry a 350+ OBP for the season before we can do this? I thoroughly enjoy non Mets fans responses of:
Good Jose = he is overrated
Bad Jose = this is more likely who he is
I'm thankful he turned his first month around, we need a lot more good Reyes and Beltran.
