NY Post: Babe Homered With Girls, Too (RR)

In other breaking news… Lindbergh landed in Paris.

“Liquor, women, partying and sex were always present . . . and where George Herman Ruth was always at the top of his game,” writes Harvey Frommer, whose book hits stores in November.

Ruth routinely held wild parties jammed with young beauties in hotels on the road. During one bacchanalian bash, Frommer says, “Seizing the moment, savoring the time, perhaps a bit tipsy, the Babe climbed atop a piano and bellowed at the women, ‘OK, girls, anyone who does not want to get [bleep]ed now can leave!”

As I remember reading it, the Babe had said, "Ok girls, anyone who does not want to get [bleep]ed can leave now." There's a subtle difference: perhaps more brusque, but slightly less offensive in mixed company, I should think!

Is this scene on the dvd of "The Babe Ruth Story"? I would love to see how William bendix delivers this line.

NY Post: Babe Homered With Girls, Too

BALTIMORE -- While George Herman Ruth's expansive appetites for the affections of teenage boys, from quiet twinks to aggressive musclemen, have been documented and form a part of the myth of this great American, many children remain unaware that Ruth also chased the poonani...

He tries awfully hard to be convincing, but when the broads just laugh at him, all he can do is turn towards the camera and say "What a revoltin' development this is!" It's the best scene in the movie.

I believe he says: "OK girls, anyone who does not want to drink milk with me now can leave."

Babe Ruth was an adulterer? I've lost all faith in the game of baseball. Hopefully, someone will come along soon to break his record...

Whole idea of becoming a superstar at anything is to get as much pu$$y as you possibly can.

"To Bill Bendix"

You're one hell of an actor
But to tell you the truth
I look like Citation
If you look like Babe Ruth

Remember Bouton's description in Ball Four of the best pep-talk he ever heard?

Before a important series, his AAA manager held his thumb and index finger a quarter-inch apart and said 'Remember boys, you're this close to big-league #####'.

Priceless.

Remember Bouton's description in Ball Four of the best pep-talk he ever heard?

Before a important series, his AAA manager held his thumb and index finger a quarter-inch apart and said 'Remember boys, you're this close to big-league #####'.

And double priceless.
