NY Post:  Mets May Pay For Citi Slump (RR)

Mets rep Jay Horwitz yesterday insisted, “There is no change in regard to Citi’s commitment to the new ballpark.”

Who’s “commitment” will it be?

I rate Citi a buy and hold.

Citi bank has far fewer ATM outlets across NYC. I can't walk anywhere without going by a Chase ATM, but I have to go out of my way to get to a Citi bank most of the time.

"Risky! Risky! Risky! Risky!"

I love that Jay Horwitz is the go-to guy on this.

"There's a financial meltdown with huge long-term implications for Citi's financial viability! For the definitive word on this, let's go to the Mets PR guy!"

I vote for "United States Department of the Treasury Field."

Or "Fed Field" for short.

Citi is in trouble. Buy financials at your own risk right now. Until they come clean on their exposure to CDS's, I wouldn't #### them with Bea Arthur's dick.

On a completely unrelated note, is anyone else surprised that Ayala is a Type B free agent? I'd rather have the pick so I'd let him re-sign elsewhere.

I guess Alwaleed bin Talal Field won't work.

Well, if it becomes Buffett Field, it surely increases the chances of the Mets signing CC.

Perhaps the Mets could change the terms of Citi's deal. Instead of sponsoring the stadium, Citi can sponsor the bullpen.
