Orioles Magic 2008: Because being over .500 this late in the season is worthy of song

As great of a song as “Orioles Magic” is, I think it is tempting fate WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much to being doing a “Superbowl Shuffle” style number at this time. Still, this further cements Kevin Millar as the baseball equivalent of William Shatner, only without Star Trek.

That's seriously awesome. If everyone were as unselfconscious and unafraid of looking like an ass as Kevin Millar and whoever else he convinced to do the video, the world would be a better place. Or at least a heckuva lot sillier.

What exemplifies Orioles Magic from yesterday's game the best?

1) Quiroz hitting a single in the 7th
2) Payton hitting a grand slam to drive Quiroz
3) Cabrera giving up zero walks

I was prepared to be all snarky, but that was great and what #1 said.

The rest of the band is Jeremy Guthrie (clarinet, background vocals), Adam Jones (drums), Adam Loewen (keyboard), George Sherill (drums), and Dennis Sarfate (dancer/hype man).

Millar is really the creative force behind the band. For some reason, the Orioles stopped playing "Orioles Magic" when the Orioles take the field in the first inning this year. Millar took exception to this, and after a win in April he cranked the song on the clubhouse stereo and gave a lip-sync performance of "Orioles Magic". Rumor has it that Millar was completely naked during the performance.

Millar started playing it in the clubhouse after every win, and that blossomed into this awesome video.

Things then took a disturbing turn when Millar tucked his genitals between his legs and muttered, "I'd #### me. I'd #### me so hard" to himself.
