What about George Bell? Is he the guy Bill James talks about as having ZERO baserunner kills for his entire career?
Bell had some baserunner kills, although nowhere near as many as his buddies in the OF. What Bill James talks about with him was how his errors never seemed to actually cost his team (or at least, when they did, they were outweighed by his immediate offensive contributions).
Does anyone else want to make a joke comparing Damon to the French at the beginning of WW2? Because I do.
This site has been sadly lacking in pointless Hitler references lately.
I think James spoke of Bell's errors either not resulting in a run, or not resulting in a run in a game the Jays lost. For three years running.
That sounds about right. I don't have the book in front of me at the moment.
Too busy translating Mein Kampf into French, huh?
I prefer his lesser known second work, Mein Kitten.
The people prone to doing so got their way last November.
And with predictable results. The latest being the lunacy of giving Khalid Sheikh Mohammed constitutional rights and trying him in civilian court, with all the circus and insanity that will follow, all while pretending that the trial will show the virtues of our justice system even though everyone knows the trial will be a farce since he'll never be set free even if he were to be acquitted.
Irresponsibility knows no bounds, as far as Obama is concerned.
