Pedro can return to mound in 10-14 days—Newsday.com

Good news for Mets fans.

The Mets finally have a rough timetable for Pedro Martinez’s return. Martinez, who strained his left hamstring April 1, was examined Monday by team orthopedist David Altchek and the prognosis is that he can return to the mound in 10 days to two weeks.

The headline is a little misleading.

That's returning to the mound at all.

From the article.
But that's only for a bullpen session, and after missing so much time, it's likely that Martinez will need three more weeks before he can rejoin the Mets.

I am guessing thats 3 weeks from returning to the mound, so its looking more like the end of May or so.

But it's practically back to square one for Orlando Hernandez, who was also checked out and told that his right foot, bothered by a strained ligament, must remain in a walking boot for another two weeks.

El Duque has probably thrown his last pitch in the majors.

It's too late. The season is done. Done.

So it seems I made my "over/under at 1 IP" prediction on Duque one season too early... as I'm sure Dial is going to remind me for the next decade
