"Tombstone Blues", the lost verses

Dear Mr. Gammons,

Please retire.

There is little doubt in my mind that Gammons remains a great reporter but his work as a commentator and columnist has become hard to read or watch. His rage over the Mitchell report and inability to tackle the steroid story with even a fifth of the effort he uses on his puff pieces is sad. I seem to recall he DID have some good information on Caminiti after he passed but even then it seemed more of a 'shame he took all those drugs AFTER he played role.'

It's not his job or his responsibility to do much about what's going on post-Mitchell report but he COULD be playing a much larger role in a positive sense. Instead he seems destined to be the Larry King of the baseball world, and that's too bad.

Is this the first Bob Heise mention ever on Primer? Awesome.

.. I meant to say his not his job to FIX much about what's going on post-Mitchell, of course it's his job to at least report on it.
