Astacio and Romulo "Romulo!" Sanchez had been touted by the Pirates (well, by Dave Littlefield and Brian Graham and Rene Gayo) of the proof that the Pirates were back in the game in Latin America.
Both had been released by other organizations and then signed by the Pirates. And Sanchez, despite what some Pirate fans write, is probably no better than a middle relief candidate. Astacio did not impress me last season aside from the velocity of his fastball.
That' sokay. Huntington and company will turn this ship around.
