Francisco Liriano did not have his best stuff Sunday against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees, but his teammates were there to pick up the left-hander.
...
Liriano (10-2) earned his 10th win of the season, allowing four runs on eight hits over six innings. He struck out nine as the Red Wings (51-59) snapped a two-game losing streak.
“I made a couple mistakes and lost control of the fastball at times but it was nice to still get the win,” said Liriano, who allowed one run total in his previous five starts.
Also of note was the article yesterday on Liriano, which has a side-bar to the right on how the surgery has slowed down the MPH on his fastball.

Somebody tried to rationalize the Twins keeping Liriano in the minors the other day, trying to "showcase" Livan for a trade. Whatever, winning games is more important. There are 5 guys in the rotation Liriano is better than, figure it out and get him in there.
