For those of you headed to this event, I wrote up some thoughts on my eating experiences there last fall, and a few Cleveland natives chimed in among the comments to offer suggestions for my next trip.

Kieth, I thought you did a terrific job on the draft.

Wow, looks like 2.5 straight hours in the gold room Saturday morning, a KC presentation, Haupert, Brinbaum, Jaffe, Treder, then wake up Gleeman and go to lunch, I guess at Lola, since everything else in Mr. Law's reviews sounded disappointing.

Oh, I agree with Dial, my favorite moment of the draft was when Keith questioned the Seattle strategy, and Stoogy MLB guy defended them with a "well Mr. Bavasi has been doing this a long time" and who is any one to question a GM who apparently has good bloodlines but not much else.

I was supposed to leave at 10 am Saturday. I may need to stick around until after Jaffe presentation now. Damn.

Thanks, guys. I wish I could comment on Mike's observation ... but I shan't.

Lola was excellent. The comments have some better suggestions, though. If I go again, I'll definitely try to stay somewhere that gives me better access to that cluster of restaurants (like the Flying Fig) to which my readers pointed me.

EDIT: Whoops - Link fixed.

Kieth, I thought you did a terrific job on the draft.

I have to second that opinion, both during the draft, and your pre-draft prediction.
