Scott Proctor eager to begin his rehab

Sometime after Thanksgiving, Scott Proctor will start throwing a baseball.

In the meantime, he is pleased with his progress since the surgery. Proctor suffered right elbow tendonitis and was on the disabled list for more than two months last summer. He pitched well in eight appearances after rejoining the team Sept. 1, but was not on the team’s playoff roster.

“I’ve been working out five days a week and running six,” he said. “It feels good. My range of motion is better than it was before surgery.

“My target is for when spring training starts, I can go out and get the job done.”
